The new ultra-small memory card is designed to meet the growing storage needs of highly compact, multifunctional mobile phones.
An 'M2' adaptor in the size of a standard Memory Stick will allow users to exchange data to Memory Stick PRO compatible products.
The M2 media is approximately one-quarter the volume of Memory Stick PRO Duo media, yet only about 1.2mm thick.
M2 media is designed as an externally removable media with a controlled eject function to prevent users losing the media. Following the trend of mobile phones which operate at 1.8 volts, the M2 has been designed as dual-voltage media. In addition to 1.8 volt support, the media offers 3.3 volt operation which is required for existing Memory Stick PRO compatible products.

Who needs an iphone when I can get 8gb of memory on my sony ericsson w580i. Works perfectly and can hold 2,000 songs or 27,000 pics. Great deal for only $50! AT&T sells a 2gb version of this card for $70. Save money and get more memory!

This is incredible, 8 gigs of space and smaller then the last postage stamp I bought. This has to be one of the better items you can buy for storage. I have a Sony Ericsson Walkman phone and it came with only 256megs of storage and now I have upgraded it to a whopping 8 gigs. It is not listed on the phone as compatible but works perfectly. I can store so many songs and pictures on my phone now that I can't even listen to them all now. If you are looking for storage space this is a great product.

The micro M2 card is great for the W580i but the larger adapter is pretty much useless, since most computers can't read M2, maybe Sony type can but I use a compaq, dell, and HP and they all do not read that type of card, I would have to get a USB adapter designed specifically for this type. A memory stick pro adapter for the Micro M2 would be better preferred since it is a more common type of card that most including my computers can read.
