USB Card Reader...plus 2 Extra toys! July 15, 2008 B. Schubert (Virginia, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Review for: Kingston MobileLite [flash] Card Reader w/ 1 GB microSD memory card This is my second Kingston MobileLite Reader, and both have always worked well. Yes, the form factor is a bit large, but so is the usability factor. And, the flash cards (SDHC, MMC, MiniSD, etc.) are well 'protected', so its useful for portable flash storage, as well. The Reader also comes with a very short USB extension cord, which can be useful for various things. Mine is sticking out of the back of my tower in-case I need easier USB access...so, basicly just loafing, I guess. There's not much to say about the included 1GB MicroDS card. Its a Kingston, so it should be reliable. Its not really very fast though, around, 6MB/second for Read (Write is at 2MB/sec). And, maybe 1GB is enough for digital pictures, small Apps, and text documents, etc. But, its pretty small for MP3 storage. In the end, its a nice little deal, for not much dough.
Works well May 19, 2008 Donald Rumsfeldich (Das Boot) Well made, functional but a little large. No problems under Vista or XP on multiple machines. Worth the money if you have both SD and MicroSD cards.
