Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
UDMA CompactFlash (CF) technology provides the ultimate high-speed memory card performance for professional photographers and photo enthusiasts. The Lexar Professional UDMA 300x memory card dramatically increases card-to-computer transfer rates when paired with an UDMA-enabled Firewire 800 Reader. This provides support for the next generation of high-resolution UDMA-enabled digital SLR (DSLR) cameras. The Lexar Professional UDMA 300x CF card provides advanced memory card performance so you can focus on the business of photography at incredibly fast download speeds to satisfy the demand for faster transfer rates from card to computer, drastically reducing post-production time. These cards deliver industry-leading read/write speeds with a minimum sustained write speed capability of a blazing 300x (up to 45MB/sec).

5 out of 5 stars good size and performance   August 15, 2008

2GB is a good size for cameras such as the D300, where it holds enough photos to be useful, yet small enough that loosing one or encountering corruption isnt necessarily a huge loss.

First I must start by saying that I use this memory card (Lexar Professional UDMA 2GB (300x Speed)) with my Nikon D300. They are a perfect compliment and the card does perform well with an impressive write speed. This speed is limited by the camera's memory buffer, in which I can get approximately 20-30 consecutive shots at 6 frames per second before the camera has to pause. This speed is for the top quality JPEG files from the D300's 12.3 megapixel sensor (about 5-7MB each). Also, something worth mentioning for those who have an Epson P-3000 or newer Photo/Media Storage device, is that the Lexar Professional UDMA compact flash card IS compatible with this device. I say this because I actually called Epson prior to buying the Lexar UDMA card to inquire about compatibility since it is not mentioned. "Experts" in the technical serivce department at Epson actually said they did not think the P-3000 (model I own) would be compatible with UDMA cards. Well from my experience, all 3 of my Lexar Professional UDMA compact flash cards (2 of the 4GB, and 1 of the 2GB)work with the Epson P-3000. I highly recommend this line of fast memory cards to anyone! Hope this helps

4 out of 5 stars Used this with D300   January 8, 2008

So far I can get to 15 pictures continuous shooting at 1/8000 sec before the camera pauses. I am not sure if this is just the memory buffer's fault or the card. I plan to test with another card soon to compare, but I expected to get more pictures prior to when the pause in shooting occured.

I have had my Canon 40D for a month. This card keeps up with no problems. Keeps up with the cameras 6 shots per second without even trying.

I bought this item for my fathers Nikon Coolpix 8700. It works very fast, much faster than a standard compact flash card.
