Customer Reviews:
Best camera positioning device yet inventedJanuary 23, 2008 Daniel Jones Who makes it? Sunpak or Slick? Who cares? (If I remember correctly, my old slick branded Pistol Grip Ballsocket Head was bigger). This is still the best way to quickly and firmly hold a camera on a tripod. Still or video. A 3 way head is OK for shooting a flower that you don't expect to suddenly get up and run across the room. But when a subject is active this Pistol Grip Ballsocket Head with Quick-Release Plate allows you to quickly reposition the camera, re-lock, and shoot with the steadiness you use a tripod for in the first place. The Quick-Release Plate and Bubble Level are nice to have, but it's the Pistol Grip you will appreciate most.
