Wow! May 14, 2008 G. Kirschner (Minneapolis, MN) Great CF card! Amazingly fast when combined with the Firewire reader! Maybe should have gone with 4 2GB cards but would have bought the same line. A must have for any good Digital camera!
WATCH OUT FOR THE FAKES! DUMB & DUMBER ON THE LOOSE May 1, 2008 Scott Madsen (Danville, CA USA) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
Well, I've seen some dumb things before, but when Amazon allows an afiliate vendor to sell counterfeit ExtremeIV 8GB cards, now that is dumb. Especially, since the vendor was brand new to them (obviously not vetted). I bought the card from these guys just to see if it was going to be fake or not. And sure enough as soon as I got it I called SanDisk and what do you know, counterfeit as a 3 dollar bill. About the only thing that could be dumber is for SanDisk not to find a solution for this problem and lose many potential customers because of the uncertainty. BTW These are really convincing fakes, including the high quality retail packaging, the software included, even a little zipper pouch that says SanDisk on it. Maybe it will be best not to buy expensive SanDisk for some time to come.
Dream came true March 31, 2008 P. Gulati (SFBay Area, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use it with D200 with F/2.8 for sports and fast action. A faster memory enables me to click take several shots and dont have to wait for camera to write and wait. I still own my D100 and use it as backup. Even with D100 it almost shortened the wait time to half. So far I am really plesed with the results and capacity. I definitely recomend it especially when you are doing fast action multiple shots for sports or your little 1 year old Little suggestion though: Case you intend to shoot 8 GB worth of photographs then try to buy two 8 GB using as backup or atleast a combo of 8 &4 or minimal 4 & 4. Try not to give chance to luck. Can't wait to see 16G :-)
Need for speed and data March 16, 2008 Timothy Knight (Low Country, SC - USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This card has thus far exceed my expectations. Write times are instant and frankly are ahead of most cameras abilities to even send the data. As mentioned in another review 500 pictures are no problem for a 12 MP Canon 5D. The true challenge for this card and one it was built for are larger data sending cameras like the Canon 1Ds Mark III (21 MP) I am just this week going to give it a test on this monster camera. I did not think this was possible this soon, but a 16 gig Extreme IV card might need to be created. Carry more than one of these cards just in case. The saying, "one is none, two is one"..... etcetera applies. Just when you need it most it will fail and you don't want to ruin your work, drop it in the water (or any other misadventure/techno failure), so carry at least two cards if you are using this grade card. I carry 3. If you use serious gear, be ready for serious anything.

Item was returned as a misfit to my camera as I needed a smaller SD card. Supplier was easy to deal with and return was accepted. SanDisk 8 GB Extreme IV CompactFlash Card ( SDCFX4-8192-901 )
