I needed a camera/mic for skype. I set it up in about 3 minutes, self installing drivers and was calling people with video in about 10 minutes.

No software needed. Works with AIM and Yahoo that I'v e tried so far. Haven't tried taking pictures or video with it though.

The best (less than) $10 I've spent in a long time. I got this webcam so I could Skype with my brother - really so I could Skype with my 2 year-old niece. Why did I wait so long. My brother reported decent picture and excellent sound quality. All you have to do is turn on your computer and plug in the USB. No drivers, no downloads, no installs. I was up and running in under a minute.

I bought this product and now really wishes I hadn't!! The seller is very good, very prompt. I recieved my product within a couple days and it arrived as said it would! So far sounds great ... and then I plugged it in and it all went down hill from there. The picture was pretty good but the sound was horrible. No matter what usb I put it into there was this horrible screaching sound that didn't stop unless you put the volume really really low and then by doing that the mic didn't pick any sound up at all. There is no way to turn the mic off either. So if your looking for something where you want to record sound FORGET IT! I was so disappointed!! I ended up buying another webcam which I absolutely love, super easy, crystal clear pic and the sound is AWESOME!! Very affordable can't go worng with the Cubeternet USB 2.0 Webcam with Microphone + Bright LED Lights(UVC-Compliant) for PC. It is simply amazing!! The seller is awesome too! Got the cam within 2 business days. I contacted the seller and got an immediate response!! Really I HIGHLY recommend CUBETERNET!!!!
