5 out of 5 stars Great camera   July 22, 2008
K. Royce (Groton, CT United States)
I bought this camera to use while my husband is deployed. Not only is the picture terrific, but the in-line mike catches all the sounds in the house. Not only can he hear and see me, but he can hear our birds singing in the background, our nieces laughing, our teenage son leaving for work etc.. Great price and great quality, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a webcam. It waas super easy to install as well.

4 out of 5 stars Purchased for a gift   July 20, 2008
Melissa Phipps (Medford, NJ)
I purchased this for someone as a gift...no complaints so far so I am assuming it works well. Price very comparable to any other offer for the same.

3 out of 5 stars WebCam   July 14, 2008
Amy (Durham, NC)
Despite knowing in advance that this was a cheap webcam, it's much fuzzier than I expected it to be. It can be difficult for the facial expressions of the person using it to be made out. However, it does fit on my notebook computer very easily.

4 out of 5 stars good basic webcam   July 2, 2008
Robert Gunther (Phoenix Arizona USA)
The one thing that bothers me about these web cams is that the resolution of the web cam is 640x480 and it is specifically for the windows live messenger but when you are doing video chat in windows live messenger there is know way to increase the resolution beyond 320x240 which is really annoying since you cant make the video full screen with out it being very blurry and the frame rate is not very high either even on a fast connection with fast upload and download speeds on both ends but other then that it works alright and sets up easy

4 out of 5 stars Simple, solid product   July 2, 2008
M. Bjerk (Greenville, SC)
Product works well and has a clear image, even in relatively low light. The built-in microphone works better than several cheap stand-alone mics I have used in the past. The base clips onto laptop screens very well, but doesn't stand up on its own as well (it tends to get pulled by the cable when not clipped on the lapto screen).

Button on top only works with Microsoft's messaging program and is not reprogramable. It does require a hardware driver install and a camera utility that is not very useful, but after installation you can ignore it.

Camera works well with Skyp and have even used it with framegrabbing software to make stop-motion animation.
