I like everything about this webcam except for the following:
1. awkward stand doesn't really hold the camera on a monitor/flat panel
2. software for room monitoring is trial version only
3. the cable really gets in the way and could be a little longer
4. there is an on/power light on the camera which heats up slightly
The good about this camera is its video output quality, wide angle lens and one-touch image capture feature, plus built in mic
It gets 4 out of 5 stars and I'm sure the price has come down since I purchased this in 2006.

The image quality is good. The image tacking function is not work as the spec.

I've found this cam works great for chat, and the included earpiece/mic is especially good compared to the bulky "full headphone" alternatives. Just wanted to offer a counterpoint to the guy who said it made ppl look like they do through your front door.

Firstly this is a great webcam with lots of features that you would not find in other webcams. the picture quality is really good. i bought this webcam when the price was around $75 so i was expecting quite a lot from this webcam. at that moment i thought the price was to high for what i received. but i think now at around $50 that is a fair price. so if you want to buy a webcam...buy this one...you won't be dissapointed for the $50 you will pay.

All this cam needs is a build in microphone and I'd give it 5 stars (It comes with a head set)! Other than that I'm very satisfied with the product. I use it mainly for my mother to see her grandchildren, because she lives in Europe. Thats why I love the wide angle lens, they can run around and she can see everything. My other webcam would only get me sitting infront of the computer and nobody else, I didn't like that for my use. I guess it depends on what you use it for! I love it, all it needs is a build in mic to make it perfect!
