The Intel deluxe PC camera is a digital video camera for your desktop or notebook PC that lets you capture video and still images to use on Web pages, in e-mail, and for creating short multimedia movies. Using a USB connection with a 6.5-foot cable, the camera uses progressive-scan CCD image sensor technology to take pictures and video at 640 x 480 resolution. Doesn't work well with natural light March 30, 2007

This camera works good if there is no natural light coming in. We've had problems with ours being too bright if there is sunlight shining in. We've also had problems with it acting a little funny now and then and we have to unplug it and plug it back in. It also has no kind of zoom feature.

I bought this camera in 2001 when it was $70 and it has not failed me yet. It's very small (fits in your palm) and has a detachable stand which you can stick to a table or on top of your computer. You can record short movies with sound. The software is awesome and I have yet to try out the post card feature among other things (no image editing).

The only down side is it is not portable and once in a while, the color is "off" depending on the lighting.

Definitely worth the price!!

This is probably the best buy you can find anywhere. For the price, this particular webcam is a steal. It comes with a bundle of software for video editing, snapshots, and several other softwares conveniently stored on two CD's. This could also turnout as a great gift for those loved ones who are far away from you. The resolution was amazing and it works wonders for single people looking for online webcam chats! Since I bought this product five of my friends have followed my example. Highly recommended!

I bought this Camera a year back and worked really great for w98. Unfortunaltly not compatible with to WXP. I hope Intel is supplying this camera with added drivers for XP.

I've had this particular model for the last 2 - 3 yrs. and had absolutely no problems with it. It was originally installed in my Windows 98 with no problems whatsoever, and compatable with our new XP. We're still using our 98, so I ordered another one today for the XP(same model). My son has the same model, and had no problems installing his either.
