I have been an avid birdwatcher for over twenty years. Recently I have had trouble holding the binoculars still enough due to an inherited tremor and a recently acquired broken arm. I was afraid I would have to give up one of my favorite activities. The Canon image stabilizer binoculars are easy to use and provide a sharp image that does not waver. Thanks Canon for helping me continue a good quality of life.

I hesitated to spend this much on something kind of ugly, and when I first opened the box, thought I had made a mistake...until I tried them while at sea. I deep sea fish, and have always had good Zeiss binoculars onboard... but only use them in calm seas; attempts to use otherwise result in cross-eyed vertigo. The new Canon binocs are like having bionic eyes! I not only see distant birds that I never would have seen otherwise, but can actually watch my trolling baits far behind the boat and see how they are running. My Cayman friends all went bonkers when I let them try these beauties out. I am thrilled with this product and getting rid of my treasured Zeiss binocs.

I cant imagen binoculars beeing better at all!
Compared to zeiss 10x42 binoculars you see a LOT more details. I have a steady hand and it works fine without IS on but when you press the button you realize how greatly needed IS really are.

The Canon 10x42 L Image Stabilization Waterproof Binoculars are the best binoculars I have ever owned. They have the clearest, brightest view, are lightweight, easy to focus and adjust. The image stabilization feature works flawlessly. The optics are excellent. I have used them hand held for astronomy, wildlife watching and distant vista viewing. My bino collection includes about 10 others and I can say the Canon 10x42 L Image Stabilization binos are by far the best overall. I highly recommend them to anyone. Be sure to get UV lens filters to cover and protect the objectives. Standard 52mm photo lens filters fit perfectly.
