Product Description This high zoom ratio lens is exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras and capable of covering a wide range of focal lengths from wide-angle to telephoto. Two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass elements and two hybrid aspherical lenses offer the utmost correction for all types of aberrations, and enables this extended range super zoom lens to be housed in a compact and lightweight construction of 70mm (2.8") diameter, and 78.1mm (3.1") in length, and weighing just 405g/14.3oz. The new lens coating reduces flare and ghost, which is a common problem of digital cameras and also creates an optimum color balance. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 45cm (17.7") at all focal lengths and has maximum magnification of 1:4.4.The lens design incorporates an inner focusing system, which prevents the front of the lens from rotating, making it particularly suitable for using circular polarizing filters and petal shaped lens hoods. The overall length of the lens does not change during focusing, ensuring convenient handling and ease of use. A zoom lock switch eliminates 'zoom creep' during transportation, a convenient addition when traveling.

somewhat dissapointed July 26, 2008 Sameer S. Alsinan 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
in the advertisment it is shown that this lens will work perfectly with all kinds of nikon digital cameras but when i tried it with my d60 camera the auto focus did not work , so i gave it to a friend to sell it for me , after waiting for long time i was dissapointed .
Fine Lens June 8, 2008 Tango Static (San Jose, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've used this lens with my Canon cameras, both the Rebel XT and the EOS D30. Mostly I do sea scapes and boats. Some portraiture. I love it. It's light, resolution seems to be very good, and truthfully, I don't look for barrel distortion. I use it with Adobe software. I just purchased the Nikon 300, so I'll buy one of these for the Nikon.
Doesn't autofocus with some Nikon bodies May 27, 2008 JJO (RI, USA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This could be a good lens for the money. Except that it does not autofocus with some Nikon DSLR bodies, such as the Nikon D40X. I didn't see in the ad that it doesn't autofocus with some Nikon DSLRs, nor is this indicated in the information that came with the lens.
Great Value April 10, 2008 M. Li (Orange County, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This lense is a great value. The size is perfect and the picture quality was good. I am not a pro and this is my first DSLR camera. I used it with my Nikon D50 and didn't have any problems with it. I bought it mainly, because I didn't want to spend $650 on a Nikon lense and was tired of carrying multiple lenses when on vacation. I used to carry a 28-80 and a 70 - 300 lense that came with the kit I bought at Costco. I then later tried to save money and bought the Nikon 55-200 VR, however realized I needed the wide angles for scenic shots. Overall I am happy with this lense.
great for the price April 6, 2008 Paul Moultrup 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
