5 out of 5 stars Dreamweaver really is a dream   January 29, 2007

I had been building websites stickly using code in Notepad. But now that I have Dreamweaver...things are so much quicker. It has the ability to write the code for you (including html, xhtml, css, javascript and much more)...or if you prefer, you can write it yourself. My favorite thing right now is the verification check and browser check. These functions check to make sure all parts of your site works in all browsers.

I can't comment on the rest of the software: Firworks, flash, etc...because I haven't used them yet.

5 out of 5 stars SUPERB product! But don't pay full price!   December 19, 2006

As a current college student studying for my E-Commerce degree, purchasing Studio 8 was almost mandatory for the field I have chosen. But, as a full time student, I only paid $250 for this product. If you know a full time student, or are one yourself, then there are numerous websites out there that sell at massive discounts to students. Keep that in mind.
Overall, this product is superb, much more superior than FrontPage. Studio 8 includes Dreamweaver 8, Flash Pro. 8, Fireworks 8, Contribute 3 and FlashPaper 2. Please be aware though, that Studio 8 is a very high end product that requires some study, practice and patience until you learn how all these programs work together. I was not happy with the bundled how-to guides, so I bought a book at the book store for $20 that goes into greater detail. Studio 8 surprises me every day in its power and flexibility.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent software, but you need to know what you're doing...   August 7, 2006

This is a very complete and sophisticated software to do websites, fix photos and other things, but some of the things it has are quite confusing, so you need a lot of practice and read the manual very carefuly to do what you want to do, otherwise, you won't be able to do anything, since it has a lot of thechnical words and terms. Overall, it's a good software, very good if you're planning on making flash movies and websites.
