I guess I really don't understand why some others hate this software. Mind you, it's not perfect, but it is certainly gets the job done. I was able to make a beautiful photo baby shower invitation from scratch, and I used many of the features provided, such as importing photos, using headlines and textboxes, photo editing, and background effects. I think this software did a fine job.

I had Print Shop about 3 years ago, and I loved it. I misplaced that software. So, when I needed to do my recent project, I started reading reviews. I guess a lot of people are disappointed with the current version of Print Shop, so I was hesitant about spending about 50 bucks for Print Shop, even though I had a great experience with a previous version.

I went out a limb and bought Print Perfect, even though I knew nothing about it. One selling point was the price, $20, and the box advertised that if not completely happy with their product, the company would exchage or replace with receipt. So, this seemed like little risk for the money.

There are a few effects that I remember from Print Shop, that Print Perfect doesn't have. But I have to say, I was able to produce the same quality project as I was able to in my prior Print Shop software.

I do understand what another person said about trouble customizing a template. I, too, had trouble manipulating one of their templates. Also, there is is no written material that comes with the software that guides the user. So, if you haven't used similar software before or you aren't comfortable with just clicking around and figuring things out for yourself, then the software could be frustrating.

I had no installation trouble or printing trouble. There is a little card in the box that explains how to install the software. Overall, I had a good experience with this purchase.

I have just spent an hour trying to customize a certificate from one of their templates. No success! This product is not at all intuitive; the Help is not helpful; there is no tutorial; there's no explanation of what's on the 8 CR-ROMs included. A waste of time and money.

granted this item costs $20.00... but if you are looking for good greeting card software......look else where.... i should have gone to Hallmark and bought 4 cards for $20... at least i would have got quality.
