Product Description The new Nikon Action Extreme binoculars feature an all-metal chassis with lens fittings housed in a tough, lightweight polycarbonate body shell. Like all Nikon All Terrain Binoculars, the EX is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for total waterproof, fogproof and shockproof performance in any environment. The binocular bodies are ergonomically shaped, tripod adaptable and are rubber coated for a non-slip grip, whether wet or dry. The new Extreme ATB offerings utilize high-resolution lenses and prism systems crafted from Nikons exclusive Eco Glass, which is made without the use of arsenic or lead. This lens system provides an extremely clear, distortion-free image over the entire field of view. The lens elements each incorporate multi-layered anti-reflective coatings formulated to deliver optimum brightness, high contrast, true color rendition and flare-free viewing in most lighting conditions. The Extreme series binoculars each feature a unique, click-stop eyecup design that not only delivers long eye relief, but also allows for variable eye relief that is customizable to the users own eyes and eyeglasses. The binoculars are central focus with a diopter control to correct for normal right/left eye vision imbalance. The Extreme ATBs all feature Apparent Angles of view that exceed 65 degrees, making them true Wide Angle binoculars.

Excellent optics, great price December 28, 2008 A. J. Cecce (western new york) I purchased these binoculars for a trip to South Africa. This would be my first experience south of the equator to observe the southern skies. I also planned a trip on a photo safari to observe the native animals. Astronomical use of binoculars really puts them to the test. Suffice it to say, the optics are absolutely wonderful, especially for the price. Both tubes are perfectly aligned. Stars are sharp and show color quite well across virtually the entire field. The large objective lenses pulled out detail on fainter objects. It was easy to use these binoculars with my glasses or with my contact lenses with the easily adjustable eye cups. These binoculars performed extremely well on the photo safari. Part of the safari was at night and we used spot lights to see the animals. I was able to see the remnants of spots on lion triplets we found but could not get close to. I was able to see the color of the eyes of a white lion we were able to get close to. I highly recommend this product. The Amazon seller delivered these very quickly. The entire transaction has been a delight.
Very good for the price! December 1, 2008 S. Cherukuri (Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin USA) I took my brand new binoculars to NFL game and the image quality was excellent. I enjoyed looking into the huddle! I did notice that if you have wobbly hands, it would be difficult to see the faces of the players clearly or read names on the jerseys. But I am not sure if could find a binoculars with image stabilization for this price. This is an excellent binoculars at budget price.
Couldn't be happier with our purchase! November 16, 2008 K. Wanninger (Pittsburgh, PA) These are great for birdwatching, even at dusk. They allow in enough light that we were able to see the waterfowl on the lake as we were kayaking at dusk. We are extremely pleased and the customer service has been excellent. We are looking to buy a second pair. It's hard to share when you zero in on a rare find and then have to turn the binoculars over to someone else to see!
Great price for these binoculars! November 10, 2008 S. GALAYDA (NJ) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought the Nikon Action 10X50 Extreme binoculars around 7/01/08 and here is what I found: 1. It had good reviews and I would agree. 2. Excellent results during the day and at night. Observing the moon was really great! 3. I use them on my boat and being waterproof is a must. Plus, they are light enough to use for different reasons (long or close viewing). I even brough them to a Rutgers football game and my buddy really liked them (including myself). 4. They have a really nice feel in your hands. They are very well constructed and the rubberized coating makes them easy to use and comfortable. 5. You could use them for birding/hiking (short viewing distance) but you might consider a smaller size (7X40). Again- you have to decide what you are going to use them for. I wanted more power for longer viewing distance. Lastly- Amazon offered the best price and the binoculars were delivered quickly and without any problems. I really like these binoculars and would recommend to anyone.
I can see clearly now! September 30, 2008 Carole A. Phillips (Sierra Foothills, CA) Moved to Sierra Foothills in CA. Needed a good pair of binoculars to enjoy the wildlife roaming our property. Thought my binoculars were fine, but wanted another pair, so when I got my new Nikon Action Extremes, WOW! What an EXTREME difference! The clarity and sharpness is fantastic. Can't get over how much tiny detail can be seen at such great distance. No glare and focus is quick - would only prefer a rocker arm action to the roller dial for focusing. Very satisfied with this product.
