Amazon.com Product Description
The Mace NQC-700 Color Quad Processor is for those who take their security-surveillance applications or area-monitoring systems seriously. This color quad processor delivers high-resolution video in real time from up to four cameras simultaneously on a single monitor. With five different display options and features such as on-screen date and time display, and VCR playback with a 2x digital zoom, the NQC-700 is an ideal addition to any multiple CCTV-camera surveillance system.

Operating on the NTSC TV system, the Mace NQC-700 color processor includes four BNC (Bayonet Neill-Concelman) connector camera inputs for live feeds, as well as one VCR BNC input and output that allows recording and playback of video. The NQC-700 achieves a resolution of up to 30 fps (frames-per-second) with a maximum of 760 x 480 effective pixels. This unit features a video-loss alarm that sounds a buzzer whenever a video feed is abruptly lost. This unit allows quad or single camera views during VCR playback, and allows quad, PIP (picture-in-picture), single, auto-sequence and freeze real-time display modes. Powered by 12-volts DC via an included adapter, the NQC-700 has an operating temperature of -10 to 50 degrees Celsius.

Technical Features:

  • Video inputs: 4 BNC connectors
  • Resolution: up to 30 fps with 760 x 480 effective pixels
  • Viewing modes: single, quad, PIP, auto-sequence and freeze
  • Operating temperatures: -10 to 50 degrees Celsius
  • Dimensions: 11.1 x 7.9 x 1.8 inches (W x D x H)
For any monitoring situation that entails a small-scale multi-camera application, you should seriously consider the Mace NQC-700. This unit is compatible with other Mace devices, such as DVRs (digital video recorders) and time-lapse VCRs, as well as specialty cameras for when you need to upgrade to a more professional-level security surveillance operation.

1 out of 5 stars Great, when it works   October 11, 2007

The product worked as advertised, until it died.
Further ANTonline refused to honor the warranty and I had to go directly to Mace which does not normally deal with private parties.

Mace is no longer producing this item due to so many unit failures..

If it dies all they can replace it with is a generic unit that does not have the motion detection or freeze frame features.

If you are lucky and it continues to work, it works great.
If it dies don't expect the same unit as a replacement.

Avoid like the plague if you do not want to risk your $120.
