I wanted a charger that didn't have too many extras to keep up with, and this one had only convenient landline & car plugs. My favorite feature is the discharge button to keep my Canon 6V batteries from suffering from battery memory.

I have a few old NiCd camcorder batteries that don't seem to hold charge anymore but they came alive again after reconditioning them with this compact charger. Small footprint and the included 12V adapter make it easy for traveling too.
