Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The revolutionary H-12 gives the extra TST protection while allowing for quick access to your Digital / SLR set. The camera can be held at place by looping the divider around the lens vertically or positioning horizontally and creating a bottom compartment for a lens or a flash unit. The media kit will hold batteries and memory cards. Store additional accessories in the 5 padded pockets. In addition to the rain-protected lid the H-12 is equipped with an elements' cover: black side out in rain, and in sun reverse to silver for heat reflection. When wet or dirty, store the cover in its mesh pouch and hang out to dry.

4 out of 5 stars Great for the right camera   May 14, 2008

This bag is heavy duty and well constructed. It will really only fit a camera body (my 40D doesnt fit unless I take off the extra battery pack) with one lense attached (not a zoom). Lenses will not fit in the side pockets, but I can keep extra batteries, a filter, and some lense cleaning supplies in the side pockets. I would recommend the product, but only if you want a smaller bag for light trips.

5 out of 5 stars I've Found the Perfect Case!   May 8, 2008

After trying three different cases, I tried the Kata H-12 and couldn't be happier. It fits my Nikon D80 with 18-200mm lens attached with just enough room to spare. Very high quality, very protective. A little pricey, but definitely worth it.

2 out of 5 stars Great idea; smaller than expected   March 15, 2008

I had high hopes for the Kata H-12 holster case, but it barely held my Canon 5D with a standard lens. The side pockets would not hold my zoom and wide angle lenses. The H-14 may be roomier and work better, but instead I opted for the Lowepro Off Trail belt pack which is more modular and worked well while I covered a concert event.

5 out of 5 stars Exactly what I needed   January 4, 2007

I bought this case to carry a Canon 30D with the standard 18-55mm lens.
My primary use is to carry the camera to hockey and volleyball games.
This is a very high quality case and is perfect for the camera, standard lens, charger, extra battery, manual, spare memory. Most accessories will fit in the two side pouches, and there is a zipper pouch on the inside of the lid.
You can leave the case over your shoulder and just reach down and get the camera, take a shot and place in back in the holster.
You can clip the case closed or fully zip it. The zippers are a tad bit stiff when they are new, but there again, they are high quality. The shoulder strap is extremely comfortable and the case fits in luggage rated as carryons on the airlines.
The front/top of the case is a solid rubberized material and is very sturdy. The case comes with a rain cover, but I haven't used it yet. One of the best things about the bag is that it doesn't look like a camera bag and doesn't garner extra attention.
I plan on adding accesories available for the case when I get a new telephoto lens.

Very bulky and bad design. No SLR camera does fit in it comfortably. Shall not be advertised for SLR cameras. Cheap workmanship. Does not worth the price.
