Product Description Lensbabies, LLC introduces today its new Lensbaby Creative Aperture Kit for use with the Lensbaby 3G and Lensbaby 2.0 Single Lens-Reflex (SLR) lenses. Each Lensbaby Creative Aperture Kit contains one star shaped aperture disk, one heart shaped aperture disk, and five blank disks. Photographers can fashion the blank disks into their own custom shaped apertures using a shaped paper punch (which can be found in craft stores) or a sharp knife. With the Lensbaby Creative Aperture Disks, points of light in out of focus areas of the photo take on the shape of the hole in the aperture disk. If the photographer uses the star shaped aperture disk, points of light behind the subject appear as glowing stars, giving photographers one more tool to be creative with their cameras. These new aperture disks are made of the same metalicized plastic and work the same way as the aperture disks that come with the Lensbaby 3G and Lensbaby 2.0. Photographers simply drop the disks into the front of their Lensbaby lens, where they are held in place by a magnetic field

Love the bokeh these tiny things produce! July 14, 2008 Anissa Rahman (Herndon, VA / Dhaka, Bangladesh) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very happy with my purchase - this is a great add-on for the lensbaby (which is brilliant just by itself)! I think these apertures are a must have for fans of the lensbaby-bokeh :)
They work. June 1, 2008 Inigo (Boston, MA USA) My recommendation is to make figures in different sizes so you get different apertures. A friend had a laser cutter so i could do some precise figures. It's a good to experiment.
The lensbaby aperture kit had me seeing stars. November 23, 2007 mauigir1 (Lahaina, HI United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I discovered the Lensbaby 3G and saw some images created with the Creative Aperture kit, I had to have it all. This is tons of fun for very little money. I am a graphic artist and pay for art to use for backgrounds. With the Lensbaby 3G and the Creative Aperture Kit, this Christmas my newspaper special section covers will feature Lensbaby images.
Flexible and fun! November 20, 2007 Charmarie (California) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Creative Aperture Kit is an excellent addition to any Lensbaby lover. I have everything Lensbaby so I couldn't resist the kit. The discs are exactly like the aperture rings that come with a Lensbaby and they are very easy to cut and manipulate. Needless to say they create great effects when done right. Instead of cutting the discs yourself, the best thing to do is go to a craft store (Michael's/Joann's or any scrapbooking website) and buy paper punchers and they will work perfectly.
