3 out of 5 stars Big Zoom - Little price!   August 11, 2008

The Phoenix is a good "long-lens" for the budding photographer. It offers the ability to get that great shot while staying away from the action or intruding upon it. With no f-stop selector, the Phoenix lacks in the high-end functionality route, but with a little practice, this lens will give you what you need to shoot sports, wildlife, etc... from a distance. You definitely need to use a tri-pod or mono-pod while shooting with this lens or you will have horrible results.

4 out of 5 stars Good price for the product   June 11, 2008

I was pleased with the capabilities of this lense for the cost versus the costs of a comprable zooming lense from other makers. It was a good buy for the money and even though it takes a little finess to make it work the way I want it was better than paying thousands of dollars.
