Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Capture more detail by optically enlarging the image. Think of the creative images you can take of flowers, insects, coins, jewelry, and collectables. Plus, close-up photography has many scientific and industrial applications, such as recording medical/dental work, and cataloging miniaturized components.Digital cropping and enlarging with PC software reduces image quality, because you're taking the same number of pixels and spreading them across a greater area. With the Tiffen Close-Up Lens set, you can get as close as a couple of inches from your subject, and still maintain image resolution and clarity. Each lens attaches easily onto your camera. They come in a variety of enlarging powers, and can be used individually or combined to give you the degree of detail you need.

3 out of 5 stars Lable not printed clearly?   August 10, 2008

Somehow the label not printed clearly. Looks like out of paint. Wondering how they can past QC. Looks cheaply made.

5 out of 5 stars Great Set Of Basic Filters   June 3, 2008

This is the perfect set if you want basic, decent filters. The UV protects your lens and the polarized greatly reduces glare and makes colors pop. Highly recommended for the beginner photographer.

4 out of 5 stars Nice Protective Filter   May 20, 2008
Pomona (Los Angeles, CA)
I bought this for my Sony A300k's two lens. It did it's job: protect the lens from dust, finger prints and reflected some of the UV.

For the price, what more can you expect?

1 out of 5 stars Tiffen Filter 55mm   May 15, 2008

If you are considering purchasing this filter from Amazon make sure you check the specs of your camera for the correct size filter. The Amazon website has a recommendation for the wrong size filter to go with a Panasonic DMC-FZ8 Digital Camera. The filter looks like a quality product but unfortunately I could not use it and had to return it.

Tiffen filter are the best. And if you want to photograph fluorescent minerals, this filter the 2A is essential.
