The Nikon Coolpix L110 Digital Camera features a 12.1 megapixel resolution, 15x Zoom-Nikkor glass lens, plus several imaging innovations designed
to encourage carefree shooting. It incorporates Motion Detection that automatically controls the shutter speed and ISO settings to compensate for camera
shake and subject movement reducing the chances of getting image blur. The L110 also incorporates a High ISO of ISO 6400 for capturing images in low-light
situations. The camera has a bright, high resolution 3.0-inch LCD monitor with an anti-reflective coating, easing the composition of photos, even in direct
sunlight. Record 720p HD Video at 30fps with optical zoom and autofocus capabilities during recording. Recording made better with stereo sound built-in
microphone, dedicated movie-record button and HDMI output for easy in camera playback or on your TV or computer.
Provide your camera with plenty of power with 4 ultra-high capacity 2900mAh Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries and a multi-voltage rapid
charger.
More memory means more pictures and included with this outfit is a high speed 8GB SecureDigital SDHC memory card.

Disappointed July 2, 2010 Aline Frias 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am very disappointed with Nikon. I bought this camera on April, 21 and I used it for about one month and suddenly it has broken. I used it for just three times and nothing happened, for example the camera dind't fall or something else like that!! I sent it to be repaired in authorized assintance in Brazil and they told me that the camera principal circuit was broken and it will cost more than the camera price (2 times more expensive). I live in Brazil and a friend of mine brought it to me. The camera will be sent to USA as soon as possible to be repaired, but I will never buy a Nikon again. It was not a good experience and it has been a big trouble and a wasted time and money.
Great camera for the photographer who wants more but isn't ready for SLR. May 19, 2010 Gina E. Johnson 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm a graduate student, so I'm short on both time and money. I'm an avid photographer and have managed to get pretty good results even with fairly mediocre cameras, but when I lost my old pocket point-and-shoot, I was in the market for something better. I checked out SLR cameras but between the high prices and the learning curve I decided one of those would make a better graduation present than a camera for my everyday adventures. But I still wanted something with more power.
This camera has been perfect for me. The 15x optical zoom makes my birdwatching photos MUCH better, as I am actually able to get birds photographed even when they're some distance away. The 10MP pictures also allow me to crop photos without losing clarity or size. It's as easy to use as a typical point and shoot for anyone familiar with digital cameras, but it's a heckuva lot more impressive! I've taken so many photos with this that I just love and that just wouldn't be possible with a typical pocket-sized camera. The macro setting is also fantastic and I've been able to get excellent insect photos that previous small point-and-shoots just couldn't handle at all. The only negatives I will mention is that the auto mode doesn't always pick the right mode (so I just go in and pick it myself, problem solved) and that while I have few problems with shakiness, other people who have used my camera infrequently often take shaky photos. There might be a bit of a learning curve with learning how to steady this camera, though I have no issues with this.
The starter kit was perfect for me. As soon as the camera came I had everything I needed to start shooting in a few minutes. The camera fits the case well but still has some room for batteries or other small items without the case being too roomy. I haven't managed to fill up the 8GB memory card yet despite always shooting on 10MP and taking hundreds of photos at once. The other accessories are good as well.
Overall, I don't regret a single penny of this purchase, and nearly a year later am just as thrilled with my camera as when it arrived at my doorstep.
*Note: I actually have the L100, but this is the L110 -- so enjoy having 12.1 megapixels to play with instead of 10 like my camera :)
Sweet Camera May 11, 2010 M. Black (Hickory, NC) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I *love* this camera. I had looked at cameras for a while at Best Buy, and found several I liked. Then I went online and checked reviews for all of them. The Coolpix L110 seemed like the best choice, and now that I have it I totally agree. The quality is amazing with these pictures, even for someone who has shakey hands like I do. I AM still learning to play with some of the settings/options so I can't give you too much there, but overall I have had no problems with the camera.
Secondly, the kit it comes with is great! This is primarily why I chose Amazon instead of Best Buy. Everything that came in the kit is wonderful and so worth the $20 more you pay here versus Best Buy.
More than just a point and shoot May 2, 2010 Jennie Williamson (EDMOND, OK, US) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I like this camera a lot! The only thing I have to say is that this is more than just a point and shoot. What I mean by this is that I found the auto option does not always automatically choose the best lighting mode although it claims to do so. Some of this is just about figuring out the manual options and it seems a bit of photographic skill may be needed as well. Once you get this down the pictures turn out great!!!
