I wanted a smaller camera to take to a family wedding and that would have a good display in sunlight. Little did I know that you can't see a thing on the display after the sun goes down or in a dimly-lit room...like where the reception was. The zoom is so fast it is hard to fix on the shot you want. There are way too many menu adjustments. Worst of all, pictures I and others took were pretty awful.I will be taking this back.
Why oh why can't manufacturers make a camera with a viewfinder? Then you can actually SEE what you're getting.
Will I choose another small camera? no. I will stick with my 5-year old, 5 pixel camera with a viewfinder.

It's a very easy to use camera and takes very good pictures;
I can take wide angle pictures from close range and don't leave anybody out
specially when you have a large family. I'm satisfied.

This crappy camera arrived broken. Every picture has a wad of lines and halos, which no amount of cleaning and reading the manual will fix. What a rip off!!!

We purchased this camera for our workplace. It is quite thin for your pocket, yet is a 12 mega-pixel with 4x optical zoom. I really like that this camera can use SD memory cards, as well as Memory Stick. When I used it, it worked fine. So I would recommend this camera.
It also comes with the Sony PMB photo management software, which I have used with my Sony DSC-SX63 flash camcorder as well. Nice for organizing photos and films.
This is not a waterproof camera. I would go for the Sony DSC-TX5 for that.
