Product Description Olympus has given the SP-570 UZ the worlds most powerful ultra zoom digital camera an extreme makeover by creating the new SP-565 Ultra Zoom, a smaller and lighter version with the same amazing precision-crafted 20x wide-angle telephoto zoom lens (26-520mm equivalent), but the ease-of-use of a point-and-shoot camera. Photographers searching for an even more portable and approachable ultra zoom to take anywhere will rejoice in the cameras new form factor, and with 10 million pixels and Dual Image Stabilization delivering superior, virtually blur-free images, the SP-565 UZ is proof that good things do come in small packages. The cameras enhanced Face Detection can now track up to 16 faces within the frame and optimize exposure even when subjects are moving, ensuring that family reunion group portraits will come out well-focused. In addition, the SP-565 UZ ensures sharp, brilliant images with a host of other features.

Glad I considered it... January 9, 2009 V. Henry I purchased this camera in December and used it during the Christmas Season. The camera is easy to handle, not to heavy. I found that the "Auto" selection is not like the point and click of my other camera. I since have experimented with the many features to customize my photo taking, and found the quality to be very good. I have done everything from using the macro to using the full power of the zoom to take pictures of the mountains I see from my back yard. It has the ease of the point and shoot(and locks in the auto focus) but you have to think about what format to use (to get the best quality)when taking the picture. I am extremely happy with the purchase and for the price, you have to consider it.
Awesome Camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! January 8, 2009 Amy J. Bishop (Reedsville, pa United States) I just love this camera. It takes awesome pictures. They are so clear. I've looked alot of camera and looked alot a reviews and this camera is #1 in my book. I'm still learning all the features it has. If your looking for a good camera and don't want to pay $1000's of dollars, this is the one to buy.
Superb sequential shooting January 7, 2009 Shawn Van Haren (Phoenix, AZ, USA) I searched several cameras for the feature of sequential shooting, as my main objective was getting a camera to capture athletic shots of my kids in action. This camera has lived up to the reviews that drew me to the purchase. I have come to really enjoy the 7 frames per second that the camera offers, while it has other options, such as 13 frames per second and 1.5 frames per second, the trade offs in photo quality make the 7 frames per second ideal for sports photography. It also has many other features that the amateur photographer can learn to utilize; therefore as a whole I've been completely satisfied.
Olympus SP-565UZ January 7, 2009 Jeff Morrow Pretty nice camera, features take a while to get used to- Gave it as a Christmas gift to my wife and first pics were blurry- master reset button is a must to locate! Great zoom, IR Red LED is a little annoying when taking pics, but a good camera
