Product Description Neutral Density filters reduce the amount of light passing through the camera lens without changing the color of the scene. They are especially useful in bright light conditions to help prevent overexposure. They also allow proper exposure at a wider lens opening for reduced depth-of-field to highlight a key subject by making the foreground and/or background out of focus.

A slower shutter speed can be used to produce blurred motion effects.

Great product for the price January 8, 2009 Linda S. Kysar (Branson, MO) I bought this to protect my new lens for my Canon XSI. It works well and was a great price.
Unobtrusive but essential December 29, 2008 Robert Buchanan (Connecticut) I have always protected my lenses with a UV filter. I'm not sure that the filter actually does anything because of never shot without one, but I recommend spending a few dollars to protect an expensive investment. The Tiffen brand is always reliable.
good quality December 13, 2008 Hoang Thach (Colorado, USA) This fits with my Carl Zeiss 25mm fix lens. I use this lens and new filter with Nikon D90. I would like to notice that Nikon DSLR work well with Carl Zeiss lens F mount
So-so November 19, 2008 Curtis (Burtonsville, MD USA) The only thing this filter is good for is protecting the lens from physical damage (dust, prints, scratches, water spots, etc.) Some say that cheap Tiffen filters degrade the quality of the images, but I haven't noticed any degradation. If you want a filter that will actually improve your images, do not get this filter, go with a circular polarizer or a neutral density filter instead. It's better to crack this filter than crack your lens.
Simple UV Protector November 9, 2008 Omar Aguilar (Hermosillo, Sonora) It's just a protection filter. It's does a good work by day though it can create weird flares by night if you are trying to picture below a bright light or if there's one pointing towards you. It also has a weird glass finish in the edges that make it look cheap (even though it is)
