I ruined my other DSL cable by trying to run it under the carpet using a piece of stiff wire. This one survived the ordeal, so it must be a sturdy cable. It's been hooked up quite awhile and it hasn't given me a lick of trouble. Whether or not data transmission is faster than through a standard, cheap cable... I don't know.

I needed a replacement shielded phone cable for my DSL router and could not get one from my ISP nor could I find one locally. Mostly what I got were blank stares and dumb looks. This Belkin RJ11 cable came with a robust shielding for RF interference and has performed very well.
